XHTML
1.0 Compliant
CSS 2.0 Compliant
This site is entirely W3C compliant with the XHTML version 1.0 transitional
web standards and CSS 2.0 standards. What does this mean? Basically a
lot of great things:
- ADA facilitation - For those with text-only or
audio-only browsers, there should be little or no trouble navigating
or understanding the content of this site. The 'Skip Navigation' access
key is 2 for specially enabled browsers. A 'Skip Navigation Link'
appears in text-only browsers as well.
- Performance - This site is designed to look it's
best in the most recent versions of popular browsers like Netscape
6+, Mozilla 1+, and Internet Explorer 6+. While it may look a little
less pretty in other less capable browsers, the information will still
be legible and easily navigable.
- Speed - Compared with older websites and the standard
use of tables and html, these pages should download considerably faster.
- Compatibility - While this site is best viewed with
a modern browser, it should be viewable by web-enabled cellphones,
palm-tops and just about anything that can view a web page, regardless
of platform!
Within the next two years, most websites will be using this or stricter
standards. If you want the best viewing experience, please upgrade your
browser to a web-standards compliant one today.
- Mozilla
1.6 -
The Best Browser out to date
- Netscape
7.1 -
Pretty darn good but installs AOL IM and a bunch of aol stuff
- Internet
Explorer 6 - Pretty darn good too, but not entirely standards
compliant - tends to reload rollover images regardless of preloading,
so it's not very efficient.
