- CalRecycle Carpet Stewardship Program
California passed the first EPR law (Perez, AB 2398) in the U.S. for carpet in 2010. The law establishes a private-sector designed and managed statewide carpet stewardship program. This page provides information on the law and its implementation.

Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE)
- CARE is the organization created by the carpet industry’s trade association, Carpet and Rug Institute, to coordinate industry recycling effort and implement the Memoranda of Understanding. The 2010 CARE Report states that carpet recycling is currently at 4.5% (p. 8).
